Taekwondo belt classification

10   白 带      表示空白，尚未具有跆拳道知识，意味着入门阶段。有纯洁之意，穿戴者对跆拳道的技术和知识一窍不通，尚待磨练。

10 white belt means blank, no Taekwondo knowledge, means the entry stage. The wearer does not know anything about Taekwondo technology and knowledge, which needs to be honed.

9   白黄带         白带与黄带之交界，带上此色带的运动员表示已掌握一些跆拳道的基本知识及一点技术。

8   黄 带      表示大地中的植物正在大地生根发芽，意味着学习基础阶段，此级别的运动员正对技术打好根基。

7   黄绿带         黄带与绿带间的交界，进入此阶段后会开始训练其搏击技巧，以供绿带后进行使用。

6   绿 带      表示成长中的绿色草木，意味着技术的进步阶段。其训练者的跆拳道技术开始枝繁叶茂，并且不断地完善。在这个时候会开始练习一些较高难度的脚法（例如是侧踢），并且进行搏击。

2   红 带      红色意味着该运动员有一定的危险程度，属于警戒程度。即运动员已经有相当的实力，但是修养和控制能力仍然有改善的空间。其早前的颜色是啡色[7]，并有“蓝红带”作为过渡[8]。
